Transportation Specialist (Freight Cost)

Job description

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a "can do" attitude This role will support the organization’s transportation and logistics strategy by enabling accurate freight pricing, optimizing distribution and transportation decisions, and delivering actionable supply chain insights. This role partners cross functionally with Sales, Pricing, Distribution, Operations, and Data teams to ensure freight costs are well managed, customer commitments are met, and continuous optimization opportunities are identified and executed. Analyze diverse supply chain and transportation data sets to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for optimization and cost savings. Founded in 1882, J.D.
