Job description

General Summary: Installs and supports communications equipment and infrastructure components within the guidelines of hardware and software technical manuals, the National and Federal Electrician’s Code Manuals, County and departmental policies and procedures. Adheres to city and departmental policies and procedures. Reports to Deputy CIO – Infrastructure & Communications or other designated person and works with directors, supervisors, elected officials, co-workers, vendors, consultants and other IT professionals to provide technical support. Serves as team lead for Network group. Key Responsibilities and Performance Standards: - T ests and recommends equipment and software related to Network Infrastructure . Contributes to developing a nd design ing network system s to m aximizes network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. - Evaluate and provides recommendations, specifications and documentation for alternative options regarding network Infrastructure changes or upgrades options .
