Department: 36320 Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital - Ultrasound Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hou rs Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK VARIETY OF SHIFTS INCLUDING 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT, WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND. POSSIBLE WORK AT OFFSITES. REQUIRED CALL ROTATION. MINIMUM REQUIRED WORKED HOURS PER PAY PERIOD TO REMAIN COMPETENT. Pay Range: $41.10 - $61.65 Major Responsibilities: Determination of appropriate image scan technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices. 1)Positions patient, adjusts equipment, secures immobilizes and support devices as needed to tactfully perform procedures. 2)Determines appropriate image technique based on anatomy and patient’s condition to obtain quality films to provide to the radiologists. 3)Secures history from patient regarding reason for prescribed test and records on appropriate form for the radiologist’s review. Operation of more advanced and sophisticated Ultrasound equipment. 1)Assists radiologists with U/S procedures to include the more advanced and specialty procedures (i.e. liver and breast imaging, etc.) requiring additional experience and knowledge.
