Assistant Resident Engineer

Job description

STV is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our Water Division as part of our Construction Management team supporting a NYCDEP infrastructure project in New York City. This is an opportunity to support critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects while working alongside a highly experienced team delivering complex municipal programs across the region. Qualifications: - Support the Resident Engineer (RE) and Construction Manager (CM) in the day-to-day oversight of construction activities on a major NYCDEP project. - Assist in managing inspection staff and ensuring timely and accurate daily reporting in accordance with client requirements. - Serve as a liaison between contractors, design teams, and client stakeholders. - Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings. - Maintain project documentation including correspondence, reports, and contract records. - Assist in reviewing construction plans, specifications, and change orders for constructability and compliance. - Support the preparation and facilitation of project meetings including progress, safety, and coordination meetings. - Monitor contractor performance related to...
