Job description

Job Summary/Overall Objectives Greets, assists patients, and directs phone calls to the proper area in a professional, efficient manner. Registration of patients using established procedures to initiate medical record, patient accounting, and enters orders into Meditech. All registration processes to be completed with a high degree of accuracy with special attention to the collections of financial information, authorizations and referrals if required and other related requirements. Essential Job Functions: Competency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities] - Accurately and efficiently inputs patient data into the computer system to register patients. And proper paperwork is completed and scanned. - Ensures ABN’s, referrals and insurance authorizations are obtained when indicated. - Monitors the patient waiting areas with an awareness of housekeeping and maintenance issues.
