Newport News, Virginia Overview: The Human Resources Business Partner serves as an HR advisor to assigned departments within the health system, providing guidance on HR policies, workforce planning, and talent strategies. Supports leaders in fostering a positive culture and driving organizational performance. What you will do: - Leadership Consultation: Partner with department leaders to understand business objectives and provide HR guidance in areas of workforce planning, talent development, pay practices and organizational design, etc. - Culture & Engagement: Collaborate on initiatives to improve team culture and engagement using workforce data. - Change Leadership: Assist leaders in managing change and maintaining team performance during transitions. - Leadership Coaching: Provide feedback and resources to help leaders strengthen team management and engagement. Provide advice and guidance to leaders on employee relations matters (e.g., absence, performance management, disciplinary procedures, pay practices and outcomes), escalating complex or high-risk issues as needed.
