Title: Bus Driver-temporary part time Employee Classification: Skilled Crafts: Institution: Roane State Community College: Department: Physical Plant: Campus Location: Roane State Community College Job Summary: Transporting students, faculty and staff to athletic competitions, academic events and other college-related activities. This position requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends and occasional overnight travel. Job Duties: - Operates, cleans, maintains, fuels and inspects buses. - Ensures safe operation of the bus. - Ensures the safety of all passengers. - Maintains current status of all qualifications of commercial driving according to institutional, local, state and federal regulations. - Completes all necessary paperwork promptly and accurately according to institution, state and federal agencies. - Completes all training and testing required by the institution, state and federal agencies. - Maintains accurate records of hours of service and miles driven. - Performs simple repairs to keep the buses safe and operable. - Other duties as assigned.
