Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of the job is to repair, upgrade, modify, or verify sub components of a wide variety of complex automatic/logic controlled electronic or electro-mechanical equipment at a component level. Important duties include using advanced diagnostic techniques; improvising circuits or equipment to special needs; working independently on assigned projects; performing complex analysis of major malfunctions to the component level; performing calibrations traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. Important skills and abilities include setting up, operating and adjusting complex instrumentation; knowledge of analog, digital, and RF electronics; moderate circuit design abilities; high level of mechanical ability (i.e. considerable knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and fluidics); and safe working procedures. - Individual must be able to work with minimum supervision in high pressure environment, subject to shifts in priorities. - Individual must be able to effectively interface with customers, suppliers, employees and management. - Individual must be able to accurately provide repair estimates, for both cost and time. - Individual must be able to document repair proce...
