Under the direction of the General Counsel, provides legal advice to Bank departments and managers in order to support the business and operations of the Bank, minimize legal risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provides support/assistance to General Counsel as directed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Reviews and interprets statutes and regulations and provides legal guidance to Bank staff. - Reviews and analyzes proposed regulations and communicates analysis to relevant Bank departments. - Coordinates with Bank departments to update Bank documents, policies and procedures to comply with new and revised laws and regulations. - Provides legal advice and counsel to Bank departments in connection with the Bank’s business activities, staff functions, and external reporting requirements. - Represents the Bank in meetings with member institutions, counterparties, vendors and other third parties. - Reviews and drafts Ba...
