Description $525/ week and free camp Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Camp Nurse is responsible for evaluating the health needs of the campers and staff. Nurses must be able to organize medication distribution and make sure that paperwork corresponds. Camp nurses are also responsible for the evaluation of injuries and providing appropriate care when needed. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed. - Free week of camp for every week they work as Nurse - For all immediate family members/dependents (up to 3 dependents) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Operate Health Center and oversee health and safety of camper and staff · Responsible for the supervision of campers and staff within the infirmary. · Treat illness and injuries and administer medications as necessary. · Keep accurate, detailed records of incident reports and other necessary documentation. · Act as a liaison to parents, staff and health providers · Process all medications and related supplies · Is familiar with and carries out emergency procedures, building rules and regulations. ·...
