Associate General Counsel, Corporate & Commercial Department: Legal & Compliance: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Gainesville, FL: Reporting To: Chief Legal Officer: Description: The Associate General Counsel, Business & Commercial supports the organization by providing legal counsel on commercial transactions, employment-related matters, litigation support, data privacy, intellectual property coordination, and other legal risk areas to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Contracts & Business Transactions: - Provide guidance, structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, such as sales agency, distribution, manufacturing, supply, licensing, clinical, and collaboration agreements. - Identify, assess, and communicate key contract risks, obligations, and practical mitigation strategies to internal stakeholders. - Advise on federal healthcare laws, antikickback, antitrust, False Claims Act, HIPAA, state data privacy and security laws, software licensing, FDA law, IP, and other legal risk areas governing healthcare technology commercial transactions. - Coun...
