Senior Safety Engineer

SUMMARY: Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer that will be responsible for implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensuring a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction work site. This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location. RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and maintain knowledge of safety standards Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineer...
