Job description

Perform all phases of warehouse work; may direct and train assigned personnel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of working with materials used by a gas distribution/transmission utility is desirable. Have knowledge of warehouse practices and procedures, including company stock classification catalogue, forms, equipment and shipping/receiving documents. Possess basic mathematics skills. General knowledge of computer and PC based applications. TYPICAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Advise and assist all personnel in correct identification of required material and recommend possible substitution for non-stocked items - Maintain periodic contact with local suppliers from whom purchases of direct items are made to ensure proper pricing and stocking of materials - Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet company specifications - Process purchase orders and other procurement documents according to applicable policies and procedure in an accurate and timely manner - Perform all phases of cycle counting in an accurate and timely manner - Utilize Wireless Data Terminals (WDT) while performing inventory transactions - Plan and perform housekeeping in the warehouse and surrounding areas - Coordinate i...
