Position Summary The Special Education Administrative Assistant provides essential support to the Special Education department by assisting with student records management, compliance, family engagement, and departmental operations. This role collaborates closely with Special Education staff, general education teams, and families to ensure efficient processes and high-quality service for students receiving special education support. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration & Staff Support: - Collaborate with case managers, Special Education leadership, and Live Services team members to support student needs, problem-solving, and process improvement. - Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings. - Support Special Education teachers and paraprofessionals by preparing, printing, and mailing instructional materials for students with IEP accommodations and modifications - Attend weekly General Education Records Assistant meetings and serve as a liaison between departments - Act as a point of contact for schools and families regarding Special Education records, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
