Vice President, Materials Management

Job description

This position is responsible waste approvals and for developing and implementing a materials management strategy to dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, either internally or externally, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible. Essential Functions: - Understand business - Develop a deep understanding of Crystal-Clean’s business and the needs of its various functions related to waste disposal & transportation lanes - Establish and maintain cost-efficient network of outlets for waste - Drive companywide lower disposal costs by maintaining relationships within the industry and negotiating contracts to provide preferential alternatives. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders/managers – Develop an effective working relationship with managers throughout the organization to facilitate and negotiate effective strategic sourcing of disposal outlets - Relationship management - Develop and maintain strong relationships with disposal/recycling outlets and provide direct interface with the outlets - Optionality of outlets / diversity - Assess, manage and mitigate risks to ensure optionality (by sourcing alternative, cost-effective locations). - Efficient transportatio...
