Job description

Title: Director of Access Center Institution: Volunteer State Community College: Job Summary: Provide leadership, coordination, and advocacy for the Access Center. Facilitate equal access to post-secondary education for students with disabilities. Ensure the provision of quality, necessary and appropriate services to all students in accordance with federal and state laws, Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and Volunteer State Community College (VSCC) policy. Job Duties: Oversee and provide assistance, support, and consultation for all registered students with disabilities. Review, plan, develop, and implement policies, services, accommodations, and procedures in collaboration with faculty and staff to ensure equal access and opportunity for students with disabilities. Review documentation to determine appropriate accommodations for students consistent with their documentation. Arrange for the implementation of these accommodations.
