This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties. Job Summary: The Medical Practice Associate will be assigned to provide coverage for any of the faculty practice departments and locations as well as the main reception desk. Job Responsibilities: - Greet and interact with patients. Answer telephone calls. - Collect, update and verify patient demographic and insurance information and referrals in patient’s chart. - Perform insurance eligibility and verification as needed. - Check patients in for their appointments and make follow up appointments. - Collection of copayments and posting of payments, daily reconciliation of the cash drawer. - Obtain insurance pre-authorizations for treatments and diagnostic procedures. - Schedule follow up care and provide patient with appointment card and necessary instructions. - Fil...
