Director of Engineering, Data Infrastructure Role Summary: Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better. The Data Infrastructure group powers that mission by delivering fast, reliable product experiences at scale for hundreds of thousands of users. As Director of Engineering, you’ll lead a critical organization focused on core data systems and processing, shaping the infrastructure that enables 170+ product teams to build and scale with confidence. You’ll define the technical vision and guide teams building the foundation of HubSpot’s platform. What You’ll Do: - Lead a high-impact organization of ~35 engineers, directly overseeing three Engineering Leaders and one Tech Lead across HBase, Processing (Kafka/Streaming), MySQL/Vitess, and Caching & Coordination. - Drive technical vision by defining the roadmap for core data stores (HBase, MySQL/Vitess) and processing engines (Kafka, Streaming, Batch) to meet the demands of a business scaling to 100 billion messages a day. - Enable 170+ autonomous product teams to leverage datastores-as-a-service with simplicity, speed, and reliability. - Pioneer agentic infrastructure by leading the shift toward an “agentic”...
