Description SCRIPPS COLLEGE CLAREMONT, CALIFORNIA 91711: TENURE TRACK POSITION IN ART, SPECIALIZING IN CERAMICS Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in Art, with specialization in Ceramics. The teaching load is four courses per year (2/2) plus senior thesis advising. This position combines teaching, facilities management, program coordination, and administrative oversight. Participation in the Core Curriculum in Interdisciplinary Humanities program at Scripps College is also expected. Faculty will have the opportunity to teach with the collection at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery, which stewards a rich array of historical and contemporary art including strong holdings in contemporary ceramics and a growing collection of contemporary art by women and artists of color. MFA degree must be completed by the application due date and college teaching experience is required.
