Safety Specialist

Job description

Description The Safety Specialist supports a safe and compliant work environment by promoting adherence to company, customer, and regulatory safety standards. This role conducts routine safety inspections, communicates safety concerns, supports incident reporting and investigations, and partners closely with operations to ensure all shop floor activities meet safety requirements and compliance expectations. What you’ll do: - Conduct routine safety walks, inspections, and audits throughout warehouse and operational areas - Report, document, and assist with investigations related to workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses - Communicate safety concerns, corrective actions, and policy updates to employees and leadership - Support compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and customer requirements - Assist with tracking and reporting safety metrics, trends, and corrective action follow -up - Promote safe work practices and reinforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Partner with operations leadership to identify workplace hazards and implement preventative measures - Maintain safety documentation, records, and incident reports in accordance wit...
