- Provide technical assistance across the teaching facilities - Ensure compliant Work Health & Safety standards are maintained in practical classes - Part time (0.4FTE), fixed-term role (6 months with possibility of extension dependent on funding), based in Burnie About the opportunity: The position will provide technical teaching support to staff and students completing practicals and workshops primarily in the School of Medicine and may be required to support wider discipline offerings, delivered on the Cradle Coast campus. This position plays a key role in the delivery of quality learning and teaching to enhance the student experience and graduate outcomes. What you’ll do: - Provide technical support for practical classes as required, including instructing students on correct and safe collecting and handling of biological specimens or chemicals. - Coordinate the set‑up, operation and pack‑down of teaching spaces, including preparation, testing and maintenance of equipment as directed. - Ensure safe cleaning, storage and disposal of chemicals, biological materials and specimens before and after practical classes, in accordance with WH&S requirements. - Support with other teaching...
