Job description

The Role We are a fast-growing flexible packaging manufacturer looking for a senior-level DBA to manage a large, distributed SQL Server environment. You will be responsible for the health, security, and performance of databases supporting 60+ manufacturing sites. This is a high-impact role involving everything from legacy SQL Server 2005 instances to modern Azure-based hybrid deployments. Key Responsibilities: Performance & Tuning: Own the performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies for critical ERP and shop-floor systems. Infrastructure Management: Administer and monitor MS SQL Server environments across a distributed 60-site network. High Availability: Design and maintain Always On, clustering, and replication to ensure zero downtime for manufacturing operations. Hybrid Cloud: Manage the transition and support of Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and Microsoft Fabric. Security & Recovery: Implement robust backup/disaster recovery strategies and maintain strict data integrity and compliance.
