The City of New Westminster, Parks and Recreation Department runs a recreational preschool age play-based program at təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre and Queensborough Community Centre. The Discovery Playtime program is designed to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment as well as prepare them for the transition to kindergarten. This program is to inspire pedagogical approaches and foster learning, exploring and connecting that supports a holistic development of the child.
