Job description

This role plays a key part in helping Heathrow achieve its strategic goals by supporting the delivery of the Internal Audit plan and driving continuous improvement in the quality and impact of assurance across the organisation. You will provide independent, objective assurance and valued advisory support that strengthens Heathrow’s governance, risk management, and control environment. - Deliver high‑quality, risk‑based audits from planning through to reporting, aligned to Internal Audit standards and methodologies. - Assess risks and evaluate the design and effectiveness of key controls, providing clear, evidence‑based insights. - Produce concise, impactful audit reports with practical, value‑adding recommendations. - Communicate findings confidently to stakeholders up to Senior Manager level, building credibility and influence. - Monitor and validate the closure of audit actions, ensuring risks are effectively mitigated, and report progress to senior leadership and Board. - Support the development of the annual risk‑based audit plan through research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. - Provide advisory insight on governance, risk management, and control frameworks, identi...
