About the role The Underwriting Manager, Property (E&S) is responsible for leading and overseeing Property underwriting within an assigned Zone, with accountability for portfolio profitability, underwriting quality, talent development, and execution of strategic initiatives. This role has a strong strategic leadership component, including development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of underwriting strategies and guidelines across pricing, appetite, capacity deployment, marketing, staffing, renewals, and budgeting. The Underwriting Manager provides referral authority for the most complex Property risks and partners closely with the Head of Property for the Zone to drive consistent underwriting discipline, profitable growth, and a strong, inclusive team culture. This role plays a key leadership position across Lexington and collaborates extensively with Distribution, other lines of business, and regional leadership.
