VA/VE Engineer

Job description

Hendrickson is looking for a VA/VE Engineer to join our team in Woodridge, IL! This VA/VE Engineer will: - Conduct VA/VE workshops to identify potential cost reductions or product improvements. - Work with plants to optimize current processes and reduce scrap. - Investigate alternative designs to maintain performance while reducing cost and weight. - Manage all technical aspects of a major project and/or multiple smaller projects. - Coordinate the technical design and test aspects on the project with suppliers and customers. - Design, validate, provide test reports, and sign-off documents, and ensure production readiness. - Coordinate with CAD, FEA, and laboratory personnel and interface with other department in support of the above. - Coordinate the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers. - Help to assure safety in the lab and office. - Other duties as assigned.
