Job Description: This position will be responsible for well-organized and efficient preparation and handling of inbound and outbound material. These responsibilities are carried out in a team environment under the supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. Incumbents must be capable of multi-tasking to meet the department needs of working on several assignments simultaneously. Determine best method of shipping using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. - Prepare bills of lading, customs forms, packing lists and other shipping documents in adherence to shipping and receiving procedures and regulatory compliance policies. - Maintain compliance with laws (e.g. soils permits), regulations (e.g. Transportation of Dangerous Goods), and standards (e.g. ICCP-Certified wood packaging) and complete appropriate documentation as required - Contact carrier...
