This individual would be responsible for creating training content, as well as planning, implementing and maintaining a variety of safety and training programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees and our animals. This person will be responsible for: Safety Promoting a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention while assuring regulatory compliance standards are met. Developing, coordinating, and tracking new hire and annual safety trainings. Overseeing incident investigations and reporting, coordinating investigation efforts with operations personnel, conducting root-cause and trend analysis and overseeing the implementation of corrective actions. Leading all weekly safety and AVIS Leader meetings. Assisting with hazard assessments, safety audits and safety walkthroughs, assisting with third party assessments and developing corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
