About This Opportunity The University of Queensland is seeking a Security Officer to join the Security team within Property and Facilities at our Gatton Campus . This continuing, night-shift role has been established to strengthen overnight frontline security coverage and address identified lone worker risks during the University’s highest-risk operating period. Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will deliver professional security services that protect people, property and operations, while upholding UQ’s Standards of Operation and Standards of Personal Conduct. Key responsibilities will include: Responding under supervision to alarms, medical incidents, fire emergencies and other security matters as they arise Conducting overnight patrols, lock-up procedures, and providing access for authorised personnel to University buildings and grounds Operating the Central Security Monitoring Station (CSMS) and responding to enquiries from staff, students and members of the public Preparing accurate, detailed incident reports and supporting preliminary investigations in line with University procedures This role is a permanent night shift position, supporting a 7-day roster to ens...
