Bargaining Unit: UUP Job Summary: The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Staff Assistant 2, Pathology/Laboratory Services. The successful candidate will: - Process and handle specimens in Central Receiving Area, including logging and tracking of specimens in Laboratory Information Systems. - Provide ancillary support for the operation of the Anatomic Pathology Division of Laboratories. - Coordinate and manage the receipt and distribution of daily mail and other records among the laboratory sections. - Participate in departmental and hospital requirements of quality management, quality control, patient safety, continuing education and other aspects, as...
