The MRI Technologist works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager: Schedules MRI examinations; assures patient safety; receives and reviews patient requisitions; positions patients for MRI imaging; administers I.V. contrast media; performs MRI imaging examinations; discharges patients; performs the Radiology Assistant's duties when needed; performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area. MRI Technologist are required to be MRI Board Certified (ART Certified) Employment Type: Part Time: Shift: Every 4th weekend 6a-4p, One varied day per wreek Requirements: - Associates Degree or higher education - Registered Radiologic Technologist (R-RT) - BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association Performs MRI Imaging: - Explains examination to the patient and obtains a patient medical history. - Positions patient for the examination according to established department protocols. - Provides patient immobilization devices. - Enters pa...
