Job description

Summary Assists teachers in translating the requirements, standards, and benchmarks into meaningful experiences for students in the school; Assists teachers in organizing and implementing the curriculum for all students; Serves as a coach, model, and trainer for best practices across the curriculum Essential Duties: - Meets with teachers to interpret and help implement the District curriculum - Assists all teachers in organizing curriculum and utilizing effective teaching strategies - Acts as advisor and special consultant to beginning teachers - Administers the initial screening and evaluation of students new to the school to ensure placement at the appropriate instructional level - Participates in the selection of instructional materials, supplies, equipment, and textbooks - Assists in the planning of workshops and other professional learning programs for teachers, assistants, parents, and volunteers to help raise the level of student achievement - Assists the principal in the evaluation of the instructional program, including interpreting assessment results and data analysis to help staff plan for instruction - Recommends ways in which the curriculum may be adjusted to meet the...
