Position Summary: The Radiation Therapist is responsible for localization of treatment areas and administration of radiation treatments to patients under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. Minimum Qualifications: Required - Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy school - American Heart Association BLS - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Preferred: Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements. - Administers radiation therapy - Ensures all documents required for treatment are completed. - Performs simulations and simulation radiography (i.e. CT, MRI, and PET) to localize treatment area while confirming treatment plan with the Radiation Oncologist. - Educates patient regarding procedure on first day of treatment. - Observes all safety regulations concerning ionizing radiation both for self and patients and reporting any incidence outside of normal operating parameters to the Medical Physicist. - Attends weekly chart rounds and monthly department meetings....
