Job description

Shift: Sunday through Thursday 8:00AM to 4:30PM Pay: $18.00/hour: The Package Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading packages onto or from trailers by scanning, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 100 pounds. This role requires reading labels, verifying numbers, memorizing instructions, and working rapidly for extended periods. Most tasks are well defined and require general judgment or interpretation. Moderate supervision is provided. Primary Responsibilities: - Load and unload packages onto/off of trailers by scanning, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs. - Read labels, verify numbers, and follow work instructions while meeting productivity metrics. - Perform general housekeeping tasks including sweeping, unpacking, and detrashing vehicles or shipments. - Attend safety meetings and report unsafe working conditions immediately. - Assist in orientation of new hire package handlers as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned.
