Description SUMMARY: The Associate Director of Teacher Certification & Educational Studies is primarily responsible for administrating undergraduate and graduate P-12 teacher certification programs (currently in Art, Childhood Education, Students with Disabilities, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, and 10 subjects in Adolescent Education), in coordination with the Director of the Teacher Education Program (TEP) and other members of the Educational Studies Department. Responsibilities include using software management tools for record-keeping and data management; and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting to maintain ongoing accreditation and program registration with New York State Education Department (NYSED), US Department of Education (USDOE), and national teacher accreditation entities (e.g., AAQEP). The position also includes identifying, coordinating, and overseeing early field and student teaching classroom placements through networking and coordinating with regional school administrators and teachers; and supporting TEP students and alum as they navigate state teacher certification processes.
