JOB SUMMARY The Audio-Visual Specialist position contributes to the overall success of Zoo operations including a great guest experience through properly functioning audio-visual equipment. Reporting to the Director of Special Events and Attractions, the AV Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and installing in-park audio visual systems throughout the campus. In addition, this position supports events and seasonal/temporary exhibits with AV needs at the zoo. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain and monitor existing audio visual systems. Systems include built in AV in public viewing spaces, restaurants, meeting rooms, and microphones (and music) at encounters and stage shows. • Ensure installed equipment is functioning properly and escalate issues to management as needed• Set up Portable Audio-visual systems, including microphones for events and meetings in coordination with event leads and department leadership. • Works with Zoo departments to ensure AV equipment is prepared and ready for events and daily operations. • Provide basic operating instructions to staff and system users.• Serve as a first responder for system malfunctions and troubleshooting during e...
