The Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is a leading non-profit organisation based in Sydney, dedicated to advancing melanoma research, treatment, and education. Its Biospecimen Bank (biobank), established in 1998, plays a critical role in supporting research by collecting, processing, storing, and distributing high-quality patient specimens. The Biobank also play a key role in support for clinical trials through specimen processing and administrative assistance. MIA is seeking a motivated Biobank Technical Assistant to join its team, based at the Poche Centre. Reporting to the Clinical Biospecimen Coordinator, the role involves the collection, processing, storage, and shipment of patient specimens, as well as supporting clinical trials. The position requires strong scientific knowledge, organisational skills, and a commitment to ethical and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term role with the opportunity for extension.
