Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates. Maintains overall grounds care at a cemetery or funeral home location(s). Performs basic tasks associated with setting up funeral services, helping to open/close burials, install memorials, and perform maintenance duties. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Determines if location of interments, entombments or inurnments are accurate, complying with verification procedures. - Considers location of markers and nearby coping. Assesses whether temporary movement of the coping is needed and ensures materials are not damaged. - Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers including granite and bronze markers. - Able to perform backfill and tamping duties for interments and cremains safely using tools to create a tidy appearance at the site - Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, tends flower beds and regularly inspects assigned work areas to insure proper standards are maintained - Operates lawn and grounds equipment including push and power mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and other related power equipment - Removes debris and trash from grounds.
