Overview The City of Keller Mayor’s Internship Program is an 8-week unpaid program that provides students the opportunity to learn more about their local government, public policy, community engagement, and local initiatives while developing valuable professional skills. (Program Dates are June 15, 2026- August 18, 2026) Eligibility and Application Requirements: - Limited to two (2) participants per cycle. Two (2) finalists will be determined based on submitted letter of interest and resume. - Participants must be City of Keller residents. - Participants must be enrolled in high school or higher education. Program Requirements: City Council-Related Requirements: - City Council Meeting Agenda Review: Participants will review each regularly scheduled City Council meeting agenda packet during the 8-week period, summarize items and provide recommendations for how they would vote on each issue and why. Meetings are regularly held twice per month, on the first and third Tuesday of the month. - Discussion with Mayor Ross McMullin: Participants will meet with Mayor Ross McMullin at 4:30 p.m. before each City Council meeting to discuss the agenda items and share their recommendations.
