They transport patients to a higher-level facility and provide advanced care to the most critical. Shifts are 12 hours in length and based out of our facility in Dayton, Ohio. - 1:1 patient ratio - Progressive standing orders and medical scope of practice - Utilizes specialized equipment including Ventricular Assist Device, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), ECMO, and transport ventilators. - Plays an integral part in the regional Surgical Emergency Response Team (SERT), providing advanced surgical, stabilization, and transport capabilities for patients in the pre-hospital setting.
