Work Shift: I. Position Summary: Primarily responsible for providing professional emergency and non-emergency treatment and/or transport in the pre-hospital or hospital setting. Conducts patient care in compliance with the current Georgia Scope of Practice for the EMT-R provider level. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare. II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of Emergency Medical Responder training program (EMT-R). B. Experience: None. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current Georgia EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) certification. Valid Georgia driver’s license. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. CPT training within 9 months of hire. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to physically lift and assist in the transport of patients. Ability to effectively communicate through oral and written means. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
