ABOUT THE ROLE: Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will support the Prinicipal Investigator in delivering research objectives for teh 36-month project ‘Community, Landscape and Social Stratification in Early Medieval Northumbria’. This join project combines palaeoenvironmental and archaeological expertise at Northumbria and Newcastle Universities, respectively, to investigate the character of landscape change in post-Roman Northumberland. You will work closely with project collaborators and take responsibility for primary data collection through field and laboratory analyses, alongside contributions to research dissemination and publication. ABOUT THE TEAM: This Research Project is delivered within the School of Geography and Natural Sciences, which hosts recently developed palaeoenvironmental laboratory and microscope facilities for microfossil preparation and analysis.
