Job description

Department: UHC: Ophthalmology Job Summary : The Ophthalmic Photographer performs visual field testing, IOL Master, Pentacam, OCT, refractometry. Has knowledge of retinoscopy, slit lamp tonometry, A-Scans, calculating A-Scan lenses, B-Scans, fundus photos, fluorescein angiography, slit lamp photography, processing and archiving of photos, external photos, visual acuity, potential acuity meter, and brightness acuity test. Must have ability to work with patient's insurance coverage, knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy, telephone etiquette, automatic and manual lensometry, keratometry, preparing patients for special testing, photography archiving systems, research protocol photography, and computerized medical records. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Minimum one-year ophthalmic photography preferred. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant level competency experience required within 90 days of hire. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Ophthalmic and medical terminology knowledge required.
