Description The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics is searching for a Chief of the Section of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. The appointee will be appointed at the rank of associate or full professor. As a full-time faculty member, the appointee will contribute to patient care, medical education, and scholarship. The Section Chief will lead the Section of Infectious Diseases with the overarching goal of enhancing its academic and clinical excellence. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and medical students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. The appointee will join a vibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners in UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, and the University of Chicago and its affiliates.
