Shape the future of rail across NSW—lead statewide system planning, advise Ministers, and steer complex, high‑impact decisions across one of Australia’s most significant transport networks. In this role, you'll: Join the Rail System Planning Branch of the Planning, Integration and Passenger Division that brings together rail planning from future network outcomes all the way through to what is operating on our network today, across the entire state and across all rail modes. Reporting to the Chief Transport Planner, you will drive the strategic direction of rail system planning across NSW, covering suburban, intercity, regional, freight and Sydney Metro networks. You will oversee the development of network plans, Gate 0 prioritisation for rail, service specifications for heavy rail services, and all rail service planning inputs to major business cases.
