Responsibilities Peraton is searching for a talented z/OS Systems Programming Manager to become part of Peraton’s Citizens Security & Public Services, State and Regional team supporting a contract with the state of Alabama. This leadership position will include hands-on mainframe systems programming responsibilities and can be delivered remotely. Day to Day Roles and Responsiblities: - Oversee the design and definition of the system and network architecture for new or existing complex computer systems - Propose efficient transition approaches to new technology platforms and define transitions for the addition of new customers to our Data Center location in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Manage software and network product solutions, performance, upgrades and enhancements, and disaster recovery initiatives - Share cost, schedule, and technical program management responsibilities with the Data Center Program, Facilities and Operations Managers - Manage and assist with the daily operations of the systems team (supervision of the system programmers and network engineer, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, performance management, and operating costs) - Formulate policies, pro...
