Job description

Position Summary Responsible for developing material takeoffs and cost estimates for various business segments as required by RFQs, RFPs, Sales team and other client bid documents for New Construction projects under direct supervision. Assisting in document creation/review and estimate/proposal creation of larger projects. Primary Responsibilities: - Identify, mark, takeoff and estimate products from contract/bid documents, including all revisions/addendums. Some examples would be taxes, liquidated damages, wage requirements, schedules, bonds, project labor agreements, etc. - Maintain accuracy of takeoffs, estimates, and quotations of products through review of project specifications, material and labor items as well as the complete estimating workbook. - Forward requests for information (RFI's) as required to sales rep for items that are not clear but could affect overall cost. - Interact with supervisors and other departments (Engineering, Operations) on unusual products to ensure all cost factors have been accounted for and that customer schedules can be met.
