Overview Electric Boat is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to serve as a critical team member in support of the nation’s premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines Key Responsibilities include: - Engage regularly with various Electric Boat functional groups including: Contracts, Program Office leads, and Finance - Participate in negotiations of multi-billion-dollar Government Contracts as well as significant vendor contracts, and provide comprehensive counsel throughout performance of those contracts - Support drafting and submission of Requests for Equitable Adjustment, Claims, and associated litigations - Collaborate with business leads in response to external audits (e.g. DCMA, GAO) - Review and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements - Actively manage Outside Counsel - Other responsibilities as may be assigned Qualifications: Required Education: - Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Connecticut or must be able to obtain licensing in Connecticut Required Qualifications: - Minimum of 4 years practicing law in either a law firm, government agency, or in-house specializing in transactions - Experience negotiating G...
