Job description

Overview We are looking for a skilled and motivated Terminal Operator to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This position will be responsible for successfully perform the day-to-day terminal operations and maintenance. Responsibilities: - Load tanker trucks or rail cars according to job orders and in a manner to minimize spillage and dust. - Offload rail cars and ships in a manner to minimize spillage, dust and contamination. - Operate equipment such as Heila arm manipulator 926 M payloader/bobcats, forklifts, and Trackmobile. - Diagnose cause of equipment or plant malfunction to determine root cause of problem. - Repair plant and equipment, including compressors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, etc. with limited supervision. - Maintain grounds to include mowing, landscaping, snow and ice removal, etc. - May make minor electrical repairs. - Make recommendations to appropriate plant personnel in a timely manner to prevent recurrence of problems. - Perform all work in a manner to maximize production amounts and quality. - Maintain safe and clean work area. - Operate hand-help radio according to company policy and FCC regulations. - Communicate verbally with all plant personnel. - Perform ot...
