Group Leader - 1st Shift

Position Summary: The Group Leader requires the use of considerable judgment and the making of broad decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Must meet the WorkKeys Minimum Score Requirements to be eligible for this position: Applied Math: 4 - Adjusts and prioritizes production schedule, when needed, to maximize production efficiency. - Assists in training and orientation for new employees. - Attends meetings as required. - Communicates needed information to following shift. - Communicates via email to provide information, answer questions, etc. to co-workers. - Completes requisitions, traveling requisitions, and blanket orders for purchasing materials from external vendors, submits documents to purchasing agent, and coordinates the overall purchase process. - Completes scrap reports and leaker rate reports daily. - Confers with lab to determine that materials are within specifications. - Ensures departmental records are complete and retained to include: scrap records and quality documents. - Ensures the proper handling and labeling of hazardous materials, to include the separation of trash/refuse/recyclin...
